Malcolm Waltz
So, we just had Malcolm Waltz ride his first race as a captain. In Moitsupeli Climbs, he had his first ever opportunity in battling for the top spots.
And boy, he did well. Even though it is 'just' division 5, Waltz beat down the competition to come up with his first career win! A perfect repetition for Monte Rosa Tour, in which he will lead the team next week. We at Twente Cycling are looking forward to see if Waltz can continue this form and hopefully come away with a nice (youth) classification in Switzerland.
And there is more youth to watch in the upcoming days. Due to some calender problems, only 3 teams signed up for Tour of Hokkaido (U23) so far, and we will see a climbing race with only 9 riders. Christopher Wens and Bing Bosz are still battling for the captain spot there. The deadline for subscription closes in a few hours, so come in and join the fun. From next U23 race on Twente Cycling will be represented with 5 riders, as we continue our team rejuvenation.
